Team BBF x
WE weRE HIRING!
Thank you to all who applied for the position of Assistant Brewer, we had a great response but the position has now been filled.
Keep checking back here for news on potential jobs at the brewery if you’re eager to join our team!
We believe our core range must represent more than a collection of old favourites or even best-sellers. Our core four must be the best beers we brew - beers that are outstanding and consistently so; our proudest achievements.
It is in this spirit of perpetual improvement that we announce today that we have ceased production of our beloved, long-time core session beer, Nova, and are replacing it with something we believe to be even better: Notorious!
Beer doesn’t have a gender and in 2019 there is nothing extraordinary about a woman drinking a beer.
While there are no official figures to show how many women work in the UK’s beer industry, the numbers are still low. As International Women’s Day celebrates women, we wanted to introduce you to some of the extraordinary women who work for BBF and our associated pubs.
BANOFFEE PIES Brew day
Ell from the awesome Banoffee Pies Records joined the BBF brewers for a day brewing the 3rd and final beer in the Vinyl Series - Banoffee Pies.
Inspired by the label’s namesake flavours, they created a 7.8% Hefeweizen - think banana, vanilla and lactose all on a buttery biscuit base. Beautiful.
Come join us & be among the first to try it at the Christmas Steps on Saturday 2nd March.

BOCA 45 BREW DAY
Check out how Scott Hendy, aka Bristol DJ hero Boca 45, got on getting his hands dirty in the brewery.
The fruits of his labour, the aptly named Boca 45, is the 2nd beer in the Vinyl Series. A beautiful amber ale with hints of honeycomb, brewed using NZ, German & US hops, a nod to the people who have contributed to his latest album, 45.

THE VINYL SERIES
3 BEERS: 3 SPEEDS
Music and beer brings people together.
Bristol Beer Factory Vinyl Series brings you three beers for three speeds, born out of a pure love for Bristol and the sounds this city produces. The three speeds allow us to create three very different beers - 3.3%, 4.5% and 7.8%.
This series honours the city’s musical heritage, the underground DJ culture and dub plate pressings. We have brought together some of Bristol’s finest to help get the tables turning and create some beer that sings with songs of the city.
Take two breweries, two beers and two new ideas.
Both breweries are wildly different; one known for its passion of innovative cask beer, and the other for its more avant-garde style of craft brewing. But this is not a competition or rivalry of who can brew “the best”, but a challenge set for new invention.
