INDEPENDENCE - PRINCE OF BEERS
We are immensely proud of our very own Independence for being a Finalist in the CAMRA 2019 Champion Beer of Britain competition at this year’s Great British Beer Festival. Big ups and thanks to all past and present BBF bods involved in its development, production and distribution ..and of course all of you for its continued consumption!

What better way to bring out and discover new flavours of some of Bristol Beer Factory’s beers than by pairing some of our recent favourites with local South West cheeses.
The Bristol Cheesemonger Rosie Morgan co-hosted a tasting along with the BBF Tap Room’s Domhnaill Barnes - and edam it was a great partnership! The BBF Tap Room was full of punters there to try five BBF beers - new additions as well as old favourites with some of the most delicious local cheeses Rosie could find.
BARLEY MOW WINS BIG!
We love beer and for good beer you inevitably need a good pub. The Barley Mow has been back under our wing since 2016 and after many ‘second best’ we’ve finally got what we deserve, the Oscars of the beer world, the crème de la crème, the Bristol and District CAMRA Pub of the Year.
We’d like to say cheers on behalf of BBF and the wonderful team at the Mow, to all the loyal customers who have stuck with us after always being second best, and to all the new customers we hope to see come through the doors.
We believe our core range must represent more than a collection of old favourites or even best-sellers. Our core four must be the best beers we brew - beers that are outstanding and consistently so; our proudest achievements.
It is in this spirit of perpetual improvement that we announce today that we have ceased production of our beloved, long-time core session beer, Nova, and are replacing it with something we believe to be even better: Notorious!
Beer doesn’t have a gender and in 2019 there is nothing extraordinary about a woman drinking a beer.
While there are no official figures to show how many women work in the UK’s beer industry, the numbers are still low. As International Women’s Day celebrates women, we wanted to introduce you to some of the extraordinary women who work for BBF and our associated pubs.
BANOFFEE PIES EVENT
