Head Chef at The Arnolfini Cafe-Bar

The Bristol Beer Factory Family are looking for a Head Chef for our busy harbourside venue - The Arnolfini Cafe-Bar.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join a progressive and forward thinking company in a prime location. The menu focuses mainly on a brunch/lunch vibe utilising local suppliers and with sustainability at the core of what we want to achieve. The role is perfect for a chef looking to achieve an excellent work-life balance with contracted hours of 45 per week and the vast majority of these are daytime only. Good Salary negotiable on interview with a generous bonus system in place for hitting KPI's and plenty of room to grow and develop within the company.

  • Responsibilities:
    - Oversee all aspects of the kitchen and food preparation
    - Develop and create new menu items
    - Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to the restaurant's standards
    - Train and supervise kitchen staff
    - Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients and supplies
    - Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
    - Adhere to all health and safety regulations

  • Experience:
    - Previous experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role
    - Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
    - Strong leadership and communication skills
    - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    - Excellent time management skills
    - Creativity and ability to develop new recipes

    - Keeping calm under pressure in a high volume kitchen

    - Ability to work with FOH team and communicate in a clear and friendly manner
    - Food Safety Level 2 is desirable, but training can be provided

The Bristol Beer Factory Family are looking for experienced chefs (varied levels) to join our blossoming kitchen team at our new venue on Wapping Wharf, Junction. There are part-time and full-time positions available, with plenty of team perks, good pay rates, and an opportunity to develop your potential within the company. The ideal candidate will have 2 years experience in a similar kitchen role.

  • Responsibilities will include:
    - Understanding of and adherence to all regulations related to food hygiene and safety
    - Prepping and serving dishes to spec to maintain high standards
    - Keep all paperwork accurate and up to date
  • Minimum Qualifying Criteria:
