BREWING WITH PURPOSE
We’ve levelled up our brewery to help us crush our sustainability goals. We are pumped to be sharing our progress with you along the way!
Having room for the right kit to be sustainably-focussed is one of the reasons we’ve moved production 1km down the road from our home on North Street.
And thanks to BREWED TO GIVE, we pump 2% of all sales back into the local community here in Bristol. The more we brew, the more we give back.

Brewery tours
We’re proud of our beer and proud of the brewery in which we make it, and gladly welcome groups into our “office” on guided tours of Bristol Beer Factory.
If you toured our old site, you may spot that we brought our ‘legacy’ 5000L tanks with us. We’ve also got several shiny new tanks of impressive size (15000L) to show you, and more besides.
BBF’s Tour Host, Lewis, will ‘walk and talk’ you through the history of BBF and all the new kit as you enjoy a few pints of freshly kegged beer, which also happens to be completely Gluten Free!
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE TOUR:
- 2 hour visit including tour of the Brewery
- 3 gluten free pints from freshly racked kegs
- 1x free pint and 10% off BBF products thereafter at the North Street Tap Room! Head over after the tour to sample more beers or buy merch, cans, mini tins or growlers to take home.

PUBLIC TOURS
Public brewery tours will be held every Saturday throughout the year, with some exceptions over holiday dates and additional weekday nights available.
These tours are a great way to learn about the brewing process and give an opportunity to answer those burning questions you have about how your favourite drink is made.
PRIVATE TOURS
We offer large groups (10+) the option to have a private tour of the brewery. These are flexible and can be on weeknight evenings or Saturdays at 12pm.
Ideal for team building work events, corporate functions, hen and stag dos, birthdays or Christmas parties!
Prices start from £300. Email shop@bristolbeerfactory.co.uk to enquire now!

Reviews of our Brewery tours..
"I can honestly say it was the best brewery tour I've ever been (and I've been on a few!). The brewery kit is so impressive but particularly I want to say how good the presentation by Lewis was. Absolutely first rate - thank you.”
"This isn't just the best in Bristol but probably the U.K. I am a keen brewery tour attendee both in the UK and abroad and this is the stand out tour. This is a community company like no other. I was blown away and will be back!"
“Great beer, awesome tour of the factory and a really positive example of how a business can be both successful and ethical. It’s such a great back-story and, of course, the beer was delicious. We had an amazing time!”
GLUTEN FREE, WORLD-CLASS BEER, NO COMPROMISES
One of the core principles we have here at BBF is making beer for all, without compromising quality. Our cans and keg beer have been GF since 2020, but we felt a completely gluten free range is the most inclusive option, so from January 2025, all BBF beer across the board has been certified as Gluten Free.
To make our beer gluten free, good and thorough brewing is key. And Clarex, an enzyme that breaks down the structure of gluten so the finished beer has below 20 parts per million (a very small amount that means we can officially label it as gluten free). Our beer is then tested in an independent laboratory to prove it falls well below this line.

WHY DID WE MOVE
Since April 2025, we’ve been brewing at our new premises in Ashton Vale, just 1km down the road from the OG site on North Street, Southville - where you will still find our Tap Room. Staying in the BS3 heartland where BBF began was non-negotiable. The Ashton Gate stadium where we pour local beer serves as a half-way mark between the new and the old breweries.
But why did we move? Between Bristol’s favourite alcohol-free IPA, Clear Head 0.5%, supporting local charity Talk Club, and our newest lager, Gravity 4.1%, we had simply outgrown the tanks. Not to mention, the Victorian Brewhouse we once called home was not built with sustainability in mind; installing modern practices and upgrading equipment is a vital step towards Net Zero.
And thanks to BREWED TO GIVE, we pump 2% of all sales back into the local community here in Bristol. The more we brew, the more we give back.
