BBF has never subscribed to the ‘bigger is better’ philosophy when it comes to ABV and recent trend report from the team behind the Bristol Craft Beer Fest indicated that beer consumers are starting to feel the same. Head Brewer at BBF, Tristan, remarks “Good to see the ABV dropping, which we all knew would happen. It all comes back around.”

Having a sessionable lager on tap isn’t just for the big city nights; it’s also a vital part of a healthy economy in the harder-to-reach villages. Over in Somerset, the Crown in Pilton stands proud and independent on the winding road to Glastonbury. This is what they said about their new lager:

“We pride ourselves on sourcing as much as we can from what’s on offer locally, weather that be veg, meat, cider and of course beer. We utilise lots of local breweries for our rotating cask ales and the wonderful team at BBF take care of the rest. There was always a missing link though, a great 4% lager. Being in the countryside it's important to have a low abv offering but we couldn't source a good one, until now! Gravity has been a belter from the get-go. A lager full of flavour whilst still being 4% is a tricky job, hats off to Tristan and the team. We love it!” The Crown, Pilton
