Bristol Beer Factory Tap room & Shop
The Bristol Beer Factory Tap Room relives its purpose as part of the old brewery originally started in 1865. Fast forward over 150 years to the present and you can now relax and enjoy a BBF beer brewed only a few yards from where you sit.
Inside our cool contemporary Tap Room you can try a selection of up to 16 dangerously drinkable ales from cask, keg or bottle - perfect for trying a little bit of what you fancy, a lazy lunchtime pint or as your weekend kick starter.
Our shop is also stocked full of our bottled beers, gift packs, t-shirts and other merchandise to enjoy at home or in the tap room.
We are situated next to Marks Bakery on North Street, just a short hop skip & a jump from the Tobacco Factory and the rest of North Street's finest.
A great start and a great finish to your day or evening out.
We will be holding a number of regular and irregular events at the Tap Room, from the brand new Bristol Beer Club members evenings to Flight Nights open to all to our monthly public brewery tours which now start and finish in the Tap Room.
EVENTS at the Tap room
BRISTOL BEER CLUB - DESIGN YOUR OWN BEER EVENT WINNER!
First of all thank you to all who attended our second ‘Design Your Own Beer' event, another great turn out and all participants came with plenty of energy & enthusiasm.
After much debate and consideration between the Bristol Beer Factory brewers we have decided to travel down the most popular idea of… yes you’ve guessed it, an India Pale Ale - by far the most popular beer style chosen by the participants.
Although our pilot kit is great for experimenting with different, quirky beers, a big balanced IPA on cask is a great fit now we are (finally!) coming into summer.
The Brewer picked was Kathy Cashman, with her American IPA. The description was a big hit with the BBF brewers - “a beer of liberty and revolution, with citrus and lemon. Underlain by hints of spice and tropical fruit”.
A near perfect recipe design in terms of malt bill percentages for a well-balanced IPA. And all of the hops should blend superbly together.
Beer Name: Paul Revere’s Ride
ABV %: 6%
EBC Colour: 7
The finished recipe with the correct weights for our 70 ltr pilot kit can be found here.
NOTES: “A BEER WHOSE NAME REFLECTS THE DATE OF DESIGN, A KEY MOMENT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE AMERICAN WAR OF INDEPENDENCE.”
After a brew date is set it will be around 3-4 weeks before the beer will be ready and pouring in the Tap Room. I look forward to trying a pint with you all.
