Brewed to Give

Bristol beer Factory are on a mission to unite people over world-class beer. To us, COMMUNITY IS EVERYTHING which is why we DONATE 2% OF EVERY BREWERY SALE to local charities RAISING UP our city.

Together, we are on track to raise £1 MILLION for good causes in just 4 YEARS. We do this by donating stock, space and sponsorship, helping charities flip our pints into pounds. 100% is kept by the community, for the community.

All you need to do is buy a BBF beer and we take care of the rest. Welcome to BREWED TO GIVE!

How does it work?

Each year, we set aside 2% of our total brewery sales for BREWED TO GIVE. This year, that amounts to £113k.

With this money we do the following:

  • Put £43k to one side for Talk Club, which is 5% of CLEAR HEAD sales, paid monthly to support their delivery team.
  • Choose up to 10 other Bristol-focused charities doing epic work and gift them a CASH DONATION between £2-5k, up to £35k
  • Invite other charities and community groups to request a share of £35k of BBF beer as RAFFLE PRIZES or BAR STOCK AND EQUIPMENT
  • Gift FREE use of STUDIO BBF for projects that support or raise funds for their community.

WHY WE CARE ABOUT OUR CITY

Connecting people and celebrating our city is woven into the DNA of Bristol Beer Factory. When you meet up for a beer, you connect with your people. You shoot the breeze and join the dots. You build community. Our community made us who we are, and we are committed to repaying the favour.

Over the years, we have developed charity partnerships, like our on-going collaboration with Talk Club, and have offered ad-hoc community beer donations and sponsorships. But our city needed more, and we knew we could rise to the challenge.

In 2023, we pledged to DONATE 2% of EVERY BREWERY SALE to local projects making a difference. That means that every keg, cask or can leaving our yard is giving back to Bristol.

That’s what we call DRINK WITH PURPOSE.

WHO WE SUPPORT

Brewed to Give supports activities that make a difference for people in Bristol. We primarily support charities and groups that are:

  • connecting people and celebrating Bristol’s iconic identity
  • creating greater food equity
  • widening access to inclusive sport

We prioritise request where funds help to uplift communities and remove barriers to participation (physical, social and/or financial).

Together, we can RAISE UP BRISTOL.

Our impact in real stories

Each year we support 150 charities or groups making a difference across Bristol. This includes:

ST WERBURGHS CITY FARM

CONNECTING PEOPLE AND UPLIFTING COMMUNITIES

ST WERBURGHS CITY FARM is an urban oasis that welcomes 55,000 people each year, connecting them to land, animals and each other. Since May 2023, we have helped them raise £70,076 by donating cost-price beer for their fundraising events.

THE COEXIST COMMUNITY KITCHEN

CREATING GREATER FOOD ACCESSIBILITY

THE COEXIST COMMUNITY KITCHEN is a non-profit cooking school located in the heart of Easton. We donate beer for their fundraising events and offered a cash donation, which together, has raised £14,621 to support their work.

JAM JAR CIC

NURTURING EMERGING ARTISTS AND CELEBRATING BRISTOL’S ICONIC IDENTITY

JAM NICE CIC exist to increase participation in music and the arts, improve conditions for musicians and audiences, and remove barriers to increase diversity within the industry. So when they asked for donated beer to support their free-to-access outdoor street festival, we jumped at the chance helping them raise £2,500.
