Barley Mow Beer Festival

The Barley Mow Beer Festival
Sat 18th September 2010
12pm-12am

The Bristol Beer Factory’s proper pub ‘The Barley Mow ‘ is having it's first ever Beer Festival! Located centrally behind Temple Meads in The Dings, the Barley Mow is a lovely friendly little boozer which has been growing from strength to strength since its refurbishment two years ago. The Brewery and landlord Andy Jacobs thought it was about time to have a festival and celebrate real ale, real cider and yummy grub. On the day you will be able to sample 10 real ales and 4 real ciders, along with a ‘chilli cook off’ using vegetables grown in the Barley Mow courtyard garden.

The road in front of the pub will be closed to provide a street party atmosphere with live music from The Smokestack Shakers, The Nurdlers and The modern gypsy jazz trio

Purchase beer vouchers in advance, £5 for five half pints – available from 1st September at the Barley Mow.

KITE FESTIVAL 2010

BBF ‘Blown Away’ available at the festival bar

Bristol Beer Factory, Bristol’s only independent brewery, will once again be offering a tasty brew to slake the thirst of kite flyers and visitors alike. Full in body and flavour, ‘Blown Away’ will be on sale at the festival bar.

Flying high on their successes, including a clutch of awards at this year’s prestigious Taste of the West Awards, Bristol Beer Factory production manager, Simon Bartlett, comments: “We were delighted that Bristol Kite Festival asked us to get involved again this year. The event is a fantastic opportunity for the whole family to enjoy a wonderfully relaxed and fun day. Sit back with a fine pint of ale and watch the skills and thrills of the best the kite world has to offer.”

Bristol International Kite Festival 2010 promises fantastic line up Blown Away

The 2010 Bristol International Festival of Kites & Air Creations will take place in Ashton Court Estate, Bristol over the weekend of 4th and 5th September.
